Every house has something a little special about it. Maybe it's a custom feature or addition, or maybe its whole design is a work of art. And of course, every family puts something unique into a home, too!
But then, there are houses like the Victorian Gothic home in Cleveland, OH.
Built in 1890, this house looks like something out of a fairy tale. It has a striped roof and two onion-top turrets, and it's really unlike anything you've ever seen. There's even a carriage house.
And we haven't even talked about the inside yet.
Inside, the home is a perfect Victorian time capsule, from the tiny sinks in the bedrooms to the intricately carved fireplaces and mantles, from the beautiful wood paneling to the crazy ornate wallpaper.
This house is so unusual and so perfectly decorated that it's actually something of a landmark in Cleveland, kind of like the forlorn, dilapidated Queen Anne house in Pennsylvania that was restored to its full glory.

When you think of "Victorian" and "Gothic," you might imagine heavy and imposing, but this house is really so cute!
Out back, there's a carriage house that's just as cute as the big house.
Inside, the house has been kept as something of a time capsule, although it has modern plumbing and electricity.
The wallpaper, paneling, light fixtures, and furniture all come together to look like another time.
Imagine curling up with a mystery novel on a dark and stormy night in this room!
This table and chair set seems modern, but we can let that slide in this formal pink dining room.
This little side room is a perfect place to escape for a few moments, although it also serves as a pass-through to another room.
Like many houses from this period, this house has pocket doors that slide into the walls.
The kitchen in blue is adorable, too.
The countertops are copper, which is a fancy, old-fashioned touch that looks just beautiful, especially against the blue decor.
Each bedroom comes with its own color and decoration scheme, too.
And they also each come with an unusual feature: a sink!
These marble "corner sinks" would have been used in the days before modern showers to do a quick wash up in the privacy of one's own room.
This bedroom has one, too, just to the right of the bed.
It also comes with a little pal to hang out on the pillows, too.
But don't worry, there's a modern bathroom!
Well, kind of modern. You'll notice there's no shower (or shower curtain), so it looks like taking a soak is the way to get clean here.
Naturally, a shower head and curtain rod could always be installed.
Even the upstairs landing has a lot of character. Yes, this is a landing!

The other bathroom is smaller and features a shower stall. You can see part of it in the reflection of the mirror on the left.
There are also a number of sitting rooms, all full of plush furniture and plenty of color.
