One of the most important elements of any tiny house is the creative use of space.
Whether building storage right into a staircase, like with this Harry Potter–esque crawl space under the stairs, creating fold-down kitchen countertops, or having lofted bedroom areas, there are so many ways to make the most of a tiny structure.
But this custom tiny home in Austin, TX, that I found on Tiny House Listings may just take the cake when it comes to creativity.
This home might look like a small cabin from the outside, but inside, the owners have found a way to maximize their living area with a double loft. In fact, one of the lofts looks so big that I might never guess it was in a tiny house at all!
And with its incredible all-wooden interior, this tiny house is the perfect way to bring beauty and comfort to small-space living.

This 400-square-foot tiny house sits among the trees in Austin. And with its outdoor porch and patio, it may look like any cute, but ordinary mini cabin.

However, the interior tells a different story.
Truly embracing its cabin-like nature, the home is covered from floor to ceiling with stunning wood paneling.

The downstairs features a wide-open living area for the family to relax and the kids to play.

On the living room end of the house, a ladder leads up to a small loft. Like in many tiny houses, the loft is used as extra space for storage.
But at the other end of the house?

There is another loft!
The larger second loft sits above a big kitchen area, which has a full refrigerator, a stove, and plenty of counter space.
This dual loft setup allows for optimal use of the space, creating plenty of storage and room to spread out. Of course, safety railings ensure that the upstairs is childproof.

But perhaps the most impressive part of the whole home is this second loft. Though the ceilings are low, the upstairs room stretches 12 feet by 20 feet — quite a large area for a tiny house!
This area can serve as a private bedroom and an additional play area for the kids.

The wooden interior continues into the downstairs bathroom, which features full-size amenities — often a rarity in tiny homes!

The downstairs master bedroom sits off of a second door leading to the outside. The room even features one-of-a-kind wall storage, doubling the home's creativity level!

This Austin tiny house really does make the most of every square foot, and would be the perfect place to get away from it all!
