He Runs A Gas Line From His House To The Backyard. Why? Incredible!

When I was in high school, I had a friend with an absolutely stunning backyard. Across their 10+ acres, they'd built a swimming pool, treehouse, chicken coop, trampoline, and there was even a lake with a little dock! Compared to my dinky backyard, theirs was a dream! When summer finally rolled around, I didn't even have to tell my parents where I was headed — they knew I'd be beside my friend's glittering pool all day.

For all the amazing things my friend's yard had, it was missing just one thing: a fully equipped backyard kitchen, hand-built and ready for any party you can throw its way!

Imgur user Ogre13 took us through each step to show us how it's done. If only I had a backyard, I'd be out the door to Home Depot by now.

The previous homeowners had a hot tub here. Ogre13 knew it would be the perfect space for his outdoor kitchen.

They swapped out the hot tub's electric lines for gas lines, which the kitchen required.

He began to plot the layout for the kitchen. Finding the right appliances was very important.

After experimenting with all the layout options, he finally began to construct the frames.

No backyard kitchen would be complete without some music!

He wrapped everything in cement board and mounted the outdoor lights.

Of course, you need a nice deep sink for washing and prepping your food!

The mini-fridge and set of drawers are perfect! No need to keep running in and out of the house.

Now for the countertops! There's so much room to chop, dice, and slice!

Time for the roof. I can already picture the parties!

Next came the compound angles and staining of the wood. I bet some string lights would look amazing out here!

Finally, some shade! That will definitely come in handy during the summer!

Now he begins the stucco! I love how the colors complement the house.

Notice the bottle opener and cap catcher on the left! What a great touch!
