I spent a lot of my early life sharing a bathroom with two sisters. As you can imagine, things got pretty messy. This was not limited to clutter, though, as there were also arguments over who got to take the first shower and battles for counter space.
As we got older, our capacity for peaceful bathroom coexistence grew. Unfortunately, so did our collection of products. Suggestions from our mother to cut down on cosmetics were ignored; instead, we opted to brace ourselves for the avalanche of bottles that happened every time we opened the medicine cabinet.
In retrospect, the best option probably would have been to go easy on the makeup. At the time, I would not let my teenage beauty routine be interrupted for the sake of an organized bathroom.
What we could have and should have done is invested in a few easy and inexpensive bathroom organization products. Here are some ideas that I am ready to try in my adult years, and which you should consider too.
Multipurpose Roll Dispenser
Use a tension rod and sticky hooks to create a multipurpose roll dispenser. This can be used for all kinds of things, such as paper towels. In my case, this will be great for organizing several rolls of toilet paper.
DIY Magnet Makeup Tray
This adorable DIY magnetic makeup tray will truly transform your clutter. All you need is an old baking tray, a hot-glue gun, fabric of your choice, and a handful of adhesive magnets.
Thanks to the power of the magnets, the tray can stand upright, turning it into a serious space saver. Plus, it’s much easier than rummaging through a makeup bag.
DIY Makeup Brush Holder
An adorable way to organize your makeup brushes is by repurposing an old soup can. Besides the can, you’ll need a hot glue gun, spray paint, an adhesive drawer liner, and marbles or decorations of your choice. This will keep your brushes clean and in one place, and it will look great in your bathroom.
Mason Jar Bathroom Set
It’s no secret that Mason jars can be used for almost anything. In this case, they are just what you need to organize your toiletries and add a little rustic charm to your bathroom.
Paint and sand the jars of your choice to create storage containers for almost anything you can think of.
DIY Rope Box
Before breaking down your next batch of cardboard boxes, check out this incredibly brilliant storage solution.
Pick a box that suits your bathroom needs and wrap it in any rope your heart desires. Finally, line the box with fabric, and you have an adorable nautical box to store all your toiletries.
