After years of wear and tear, even the sturdiest chair can lose its appeal.
Instructables user Into the Dirtshop recently dreamed up a way to upcycle old, worn-out chairs into an unbelievably darling bench.
To use these old chairs for their new purpose, this DIY-er completely disassembled them. Their backs would become the bench's new back.
How would the bench stand? This clever crafter mixed up each chair's legs and mismatched them underneath the new bench's underside, enhancing the design's overall eclectic feel.
Adorned with a new, furniture grade pine seat, this incredible bench came to life, feeling uniquely charming.
By capitalizing on his creativity, this DIY-er was able to upcycle seemingly unusable chairs into a cute bench perfectly suited for any entryway, patio, living room, and the like.

When Instructables DIY-er Into the Dirtshop recently stumbled upon these three old chairs, seemingly destined for the local landfill, he immediately began devising a plan to empower them with a second chance in this world.
He quickly decided to upcycle them into an eclectic new bench.
To get this transformation going, he immediately began disassembling each chair.
He decided that these chairs' backs would make adorable backings for his new bench.
To bring this dream to fruition, he assembled a new bench seat out of furniture grade pine plywood, onto which he'd attach the backs of the old chairs.
He used 45-degree corner brackets to attach the three old chair backings to their new bench seat.
To make sure these backings were all the same height, he used a spare piece of plywood to guide proper alignment.
To enhance this new bench's quirkiness, this DIY-er decided to mix up all of the old chair legs and added them onto the bench's underside in no particular order.
After a thorough sanding, this new bench started to really take shape.
All this bench needed now was an armrest.
Continuing his eccentric design, this DIY-er carved a swirling armrest for his new bench, totally reminiscent of the old chair backings' look and feel.
With a bit of trim added to the bench seat's edges, this adorably quirky bench was officially complete!
This DIY-er brought three ruinous chairs back from the brink, upcycling them into a one-of-a-kind bench, oozing with unique style and flair.
