Tiny homes are sweeping the nation! Whether it be a renovated trailer hitched to the back of your car, or a house built on water, or even a playpen for your dog that looks like a house, it's hard to resist such a fun project that saves money and looks so cute!
Built in 2009, the tiny house below sits in a lakeside RV park in Florida, but made the journey all the way from California as its designer, Elaine Walker, needed to live near her family in Orlando.
Since then, she has passed down the home to its current tenant, Emily. While many people may judge or disrespect the confines of a tiny home, Emily has made herself a cozy and adorable home with what she's got. And at such a young age, she doesn't need too much.
Due to some very clever thinking, the house includes some stackable/foldable furniture on which Emily can relax and work when she needs to, and save some space when she doesn't.
She even has enough space for a full-size mattress, which she says is pretty comfortable despite being very close to the ceiling. However, the best part of the house is the small, stained-glass window sitting next to the bed. It's a perfect touch to making the home that much more unique!
At the end of a long day at work, Emily can enjoy the beautiful "million dollar view" across the lake in her backyard and play with her dog to her heart's content. There's just something about such minimal living that looks so simple and fun!
