I have seen my fair share of spooky houses.
There are plenty of places where I would have to think twice about moving in, like this old Victorian house that supposedly reveals a ghost in the window. But that's not to say I wouldn't consider living in a spookier place if it truly were an amazing home.
And when I saw this incredible Gothic church that had been converted into a three-bedroom house, I definitely wanted to take a closer look.
This former church sits in the historic county of Lincolnshire, England. From the outside, the home is quite the scary sight, with a Gothic tower and cast-iron gates. Then, as if it weren't already spooky enough, there is the adjoining graveyard.
But once I was able to take a look inside, my mind was made up. I would love to live in this converted home. The interior is absolutely breathtaking, combining modern comforts with classically beautiful elements.

In the English village of Cold Hanworth in Lincolnshire, this former church stands as a spooky, yet impressive, sight.

Known as Old Church House, the home has been on the market for quite some time, perhaps as a result of its cold, ominous exterior.

The Gothic house comes with its own graveyard, as well as a cast-iron gate inside a stunning archway that leads onto the grounds. But once inside?

The interior is absolutely breathtaking. The home has been carefully restored and provides modern comforts, as well as beautiful historical elements such as exposed brick and stained glass windows.

The warmth of the living room brick fireplace is quite different from the cold of the house's exterior.

The intricate stained glass designs and incredibly restored statues and archways provide an amazing contrast to a kitchen full of brand new features and appliances.

The tessellated tiles of the floor sit in the middle of the kitchen area that once served as the church's chancel.

The house also includes a cloakroom and a reception hall, with a carpeted staircase leading to the upper level.

On the second floor, there are three bedrooms. The master bedroom features high ceilings with gorgeous restored woodwork.

The detailed stained glass work in the bedroom and throughout the home has been very carefully restored to its original state.

Above the top floor of bedrooms, there is the enormous stone tower. Atop the tower is a lovely octagonal spire.

The contrast of modern and Gothic is contrasted even further in the children's room, which looks out over the church's grounds.

The detailed woodwork in one of the bathrooms goes perfectly with the unique brick-lined window.

The other bathroom has a slightly more modern feel with its excess of tile and a stand-up shower.

Momentarily forgetting the graveyard, the converted church does sit on a large, beautiful piece of property.

And the neighboring wide-open fields provide a lovely view of the grazing sheep.

In spite of the graveyard and the spookier Gothic elements of the exterior, Old Church House truly has undergone a stunning transformation that provides all the comforts of home. This one-of-a-kind home combines the beauty of the past with the luxuries of today.
