Scroll through below to see how to create a cute back-to-school pencil vase in no time at all. It can be a perfect way to decorate the house for this exciting time of year, or it can be a great gift for a special teacher you know.
Simply grab an ordinary glass vase from a craft store, some unsharpened pencils, and some hot glue, and you are good to go.
Would you want one of these in your front hall? Or do you have a teacher in your life who would love this on their desk? Let us know in the comments!
For this project, all you'll need are a 7.5-inch cylindrical vase, some unsharpened pencils, a hot glue gun, some ribbon, and your favorite flowers.
Simply use your hot-glue gun to make a vertical glue stripe from the top of the vase to the base.
Then, secure one of your unsharpened pencils to the vase with the eraser side toward the top.
Continue this process, working your way all the way around the outside of the vase.
Until the glue has dried, be careful not to move the pencils too much, as they can potentially slide off.
Pay attention to the tops of the erasers to ensure that they are all even and level.
Next, cut a strand of your favorite colored ribbon.
Once the glue has dried and the pencils are secured, tie a simple bow around the outside.
Now your vase is ready for use! Pour in some tap water…
…and place your favorite flowers into your new pencil vase!
In no time at all, you'll have an adorable pencil vase — perfect to keep around the house for back-to-school season or as a gift for any teachers in your life.
