Have you ever wondered just how in the world people got candy in their piñatas? I definitely have. As a child, I always wanted to know the secret that kept all that sugary goodness from my reach.
Years later, my childhood question has been answered: Not only did I learn how the candy stays inside the piñata, but I learned how to make one from scratch!
Watching this tutorial also brought back old memories of kindergarten, when making papier-mâché sculptures was one of my favorite activities. Who knew making this party favorite was so easy? (And cheap!)
Hopefully, this piñata won’t be as hard to break as the one this little girl had… And when you’re done, you might want to start filming, just in case something like this happens.
For the low price of $8, you can get all the essentials for making this fun, colorful addition to your party. All you need is a balloon, strips of newspaper, flour, water, craft glue. crepe paper, party hats, a paintbrush, scissors, string, and of course, the wrapped candy.
I think this is such a fun activity, and great project that families can do together. And the result looks so professional!
