Recycle An Old Soup Can Into A Stylish Makeup Brush Holder

I love a good project you can make utilizing items you would normally just throw away. Not only is it a great way to be green and recycle, but it's rewarding to turn something like a discarded tin can into brand-new handmade decor.

To keep your space organized and your makeup brushes clean, makeup brush holders are a lifesaver. But did you know you can make your own stylish version from an old soup can?!

I recently attempted this and couldn't believe how cute it turned out! This handy DIY makeup brush holder is the perfect solution to end your makeup mess.

Every girl has makeup and, of course, makeup brushes. Storing them in a comfortable way is important, especially if you don't have a lot of vanity space. So instead of going to the store, put your creativity to the test and make a brush holder at home.

All you need are a couple supplies, and you're ready to get started!

Here's my easy step-by-step tutorial on how to transform that old soup can into great organizational decor that will add a classy touch to your space.

1. In a well-ventilated area, spray-paint the soup can the color of your choice.

I picked a beautiful rose gold tone as the base of mine. Let dry and apply more coats as needed.

2. Measure the inside of the soup can and cut the self-adhesive shelf and drawer liner to fit.

3. Adhere the liner to the inside of the soup can.

4. Hot-glue marbles around the can.

I used both flat and round marbles to create a unique and feminine look to my makeup holder. The white and rose gold marbles are perfect for my taste, but get creative with this step and create a makeup brush holder that reflects your personal style.

I really love how the pink and white colors really pop and coordinate with my bathroom decor. It helps to pretty things up in the bathroom (and camouflage the mess) that comes along with owning so many makeup brushes.

I can't believe how fun and easy it was to make and it is perfect to add to the vanity.

Now my makeup brushes are all located in one place that I can easily access when I'm trying to get ready in the morning.
