Man Covers Dream House In Pepto-Bismol Pink And Angry Neighbors Can’t Do Anything About It

The homes that line the street of Mountain View look like your typical abodes. Residents of the Pflugerville, Texas, community are used to seeing white, beige, and gray houses

That was, until Emilio Rodriguez moved into the neighborhood.

At the age of 4, Emilio survived a horrific car accident that left him permanently paralyzed from the waist down. He spent his young adulthood undergoing a series of surgeries. Today, he is wheelchair-bound.

There's always been one thing that puts a smile on Emilio's face: the color pink. In dealing with his medical issues, he found the color to be calming and mood-boosting.

When Emilio bought his dream home in Pflugerville in 2018, his family members and girlfriend begged him not to paint the house in his favorite color. But Emilio followed his gut.

Inspired by the bright colors found in his tattoos, Emilio found the perfect shade of Pepto-Bismol-pink paint and covered his entire house with it. As the Statesman reports, he was going for a "wet slime" look.

Emilio plans to add a pink-tiled driveway and pink spotlights in the yard, and he wants to paint his wheelchair pink, too.

However, many of his neighbors are less than enthused about the pink house; it sticks out like a sore thumb. And now that his home is going viral on social media, Emilio says he has received threats and nasty comments.
