Family Of 7 Makes Living Off The Grid In The Wilderness Look Easy And Fun

Do you ever feel like just leaving your city or suburban life behind and roughing it out in nature? I know I often daydream about a more simple lifestyle while walking around the skyscrapers of NYC.

For folks like the family in the clip below, it isn't a dream at all. Jeff, his wife Rose, and their five daughters all have found an amazing way of life completely off the grid in Northern British Columbia, Canada.

I've seen several examples of people investing in tiny cabins for their woodland getaways, and even families refurbishing small houses that need some extra love, but this brood needed something a bit more substantial to fit all seven of them.

Honestly, their humble abode looks more like a mansion to me than any of the giant manors I've ever witnessed. These clever parents clearly know how to make the most out of every inch of space.

They also have an appreciation for the old fashioned way of life when it comes to things like cooking in their antique stove or heating up the home with a wood-burning oven. Of course, they do need electricity for some essentials, so they rely on solar panels to do the trick.

To top it all off, they spent less than $25,000 building it! That's less than some people pay for their automobiles, and those aren't nearly as cozy as this gorgeous haven surrounded by a beautiful forest of trees.

Take a look to see all the bells and whistles that make this a happy home.
