They Hang A Tent From 3 Trees In The Woods To Take Their Camping To A Whole New Level

Camping is one of my favorite activities.

While staying in a cabin in the woods can be fun, I much prefer to go the tent route. I love setting up a tent, building a campfire, and toasting marshmallows with friends and family.

And while I really enjoy the "roughing it" part of camping, I am not a big fan of snakes, bugs, and the occasional bear. So when I saw these new floating tents, I knew that camping was about to get even better. I've heard of putting your food in a tree to keep it away from bears, but putting your whole tent in a tree? What a brilliant idea!

These "tree tents" made by Tentsile are unlike anything I've ever seen. Not only do they put a cool, new spin on camping, but they are extremely practical and great for the whole family. I can't wait to give one of these a try.

Do you think you'd want to camp in one of these floating tents? Let us know in the comments.

These floating tree tents are putting a whole new spin on camping! By staying above the forest floor, you are able to avoid bugs, bumps in the ground, and dampness.

Several tents can be attached to surrounding trees very easily, creating a sort of "tent city" that can be accessed by rope ladder.

These tree tents function similarly to a hammock, while remaining large enough to accommodate several people at once.

The structure of the tent is comprised of a webbing frame, an insect-proof mesh roof, and UV-resistant and waterproof polyester fabric.

The frame is held tight using three anchor points, and the floor of the tents are divided into individual hammocks. And the rainfly sheets can be removed on a clear night so that you can enjoy the stars!

Tentsile, the creators of these floating tents, have aimed to create a camping experience that has no negative effect on the environment. In fact, there should be no ecological footprint at all!

They can be seen all over the world, including in Fiji, where you can find the first treetop eco settlement in a rainforest!

The makers of these tents have even sent them to provide relief in places like Borneo and Vanuatu. And for every tent they sell, they plant three trees!

This unique tree tent can also be used as a regular tent if you prefer to go the traditional route. I may just have to change the way I camp by giving one of these floating tents a try!
