Image the wildest animal experience you could possibly dream up and then add to a luxury boutique hotel… If giraffes happened to be a part of your exotic reverie, you're in luck. Giraffe Manor may just be the world's best kept secret.
Giraffe Manor is a hotel and conservation compound in Nairobi, Kenya around which giraffes who dwell in the neighboring forestry sweep through to grab any available morsels — even, as the picture proves, if it's right out of your bowl. According to Forbes, the staff keep pellets around the grounds for these gorgeous beasts to feed on during the day, and at night they journey back into their wilderness dwellings.
"Come morning, the pacing giants are active again," Forbes writes. "Just be careful as you enjoy your breakfast of eggs, fresh fruit, and Kenyan coffee, as they will poke their neck through the window and perhaps whack you hard on the head." (Though a head bonk from a giraffe certainly would make a good story.)
The best part? This giraffe utopia is only a stone's throw from the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, a conservation project aimed at protecting endangered animals of various species.
