It's rare that we get to catch a glimpse into a celebrity home. So usually we just have our own ideas of what kind of luxurious mansions they live in. Well, when it comes to the former home of President John F. Kennedy, our vision is not that far off.
In late November, the Georgetown residence of the 35th president was sold. It went for a whopping $4.2 million. Now, we're getting a look inside the incredible property where Kennedy lived 10 years before moving into the White House. He also lived there during the time he met his wife, Jackie.
The home first went on sale for $4.675 million. The price dropped in July and then again in September before selling in late fall. On November 30, the house sold. It went for $475,000 below the initial asking price. But $4.2 million is not a bad haul and by the looks of the home, it was definitely worth it!

Just about every inch of the home screams of luxury. It was definitely fit for a president. According to Town & Country, Kennedy lived in the home with his sister, Eunice Kennedy Shriver, from 1949 to 1951.
It was during his last year of living in the home, that he would meet his future wife, Jacqueline Bouvier. They were introduced at a dinner party in 1951 at a home nearby. They married just two years later.
It wasn't until 10 years later that JFK would become the 35th president and move into the White House. But clearly, he was already used to comfortable living. Just look at that stunning dining room that transitions flawlessly into the cozy outdoor space.
The home, which was originally built in 1800, is simply stunning. It has 4,659 square feet of space, three bedrooms, and two and a half baths. While it's definitely no White House, given the location and the intricate details of the property, it was certainly a home fit for a future president. Who wouldn't want that gorgeous terrace?
The bathroom definitely has an old-school charm to it. But there's a kind of stunning simplicity throughout the home, too. The hardwood floors have surely been updated since JFK lived there, but it's easy to imagine the classic vibe of the home.
The formal living space seems like the heart of the house. The home has been extensively remodeled since the then-congressman lived in it, and several rooms have been changed or remodeled.
Upstairs is a library that serves many functions. Not only is it incredibly beautiful and cozy, it also has a wet bar and a powder room attached. It was likely a space that was loved by JFK.
The master bedroom is really something! It's large, serene, and has a stunning bathroom attached. The bathroom has an incredible tub which overlooks the gorgeous Georgetown neighborhood.
The laundry room has surely been updated. It's super modern in its current state. In fact, the entire home has been updated in many ways since the time JFK lived there. But it's fun to imagine him living in the home as a single man.
In Washington, D.C., parking spots are tough to come by. That's why this garage with plenty of storage space is a hot commodity. The new owners will definitely appreciate having that added bit of comfort and ease as they move into their amazing new home.
