What happens when you put liquid lipstick in all of the "wrong" places? YouTube makeup guru Amy Mecado decided to see if she could complete the rather unusual challenge of doing an entire face of makeup using only liquid lipstick. Yes, that means using liquid lipstick as a concealer, foundation, blush, a bronzer, a highlighter, mascara, an eyeshadow, an eyeliner, and an eyebrow powder! We have seen bright red lipstick used as concealer before, so when we saw this, we knew it had to be good!
The tutorial isn't exactly practical or for everyday use. But if you're ever out without your blush, concealer, or eyeliner and want to freshen up, you can apply a few of these tricks in case of a makeup emergency. The key to using liquid lipsticks for foundation and concealer is finding colors that match those products as closely as possible. Then dabb the product on using the lipstick wand as you normally would, but be sure to use a beauty blender or brush to give it a proper finish.
This makeup look definitely isn't for everyone, but makeup and self-expression are always personal choices. What's most important is to have fun with it!
