His novels The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and sequel Adventures of Huckleberry Finn are among the most celebrated in American literature. In fact, Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is even widely regarded as, "The Great American Novel."

His career took him all over the nation and the world, but he eventually settled in Redding, Connecticut following the death of his beloved wife in 1903.

In an effort to be close to family, Twain purchased a beautiful farmhouse for his youngest daughter Jean also in Redding, Connecticut.

Today, the house was just recently put on the market and its beauty is just as timeless as Twain's novels.
