If the dreary winter weather has got you and your wardrobe down, then we know just the right remedy. While staying tastefully seasonal, you can totally spice up your outfits and your look with this awesome melted monochrome nail art!
Using just a base coat, top coat, black and white nail polishes, and a toothpick, you can create a stunning design.
First, as usual, apply the base coat to your nails. Then, paint each one with the opaque white nail polish. Don't wait for this layer to dry! Move right on to the next step, and paint a thick black stripe down the middle of each nail. Make sure that while the stripe is thick, you shouldn't have too much polish on the brush. Draw an additional two stripes on each nail, one on each side the first stripe.
Then, before the design completely dries, take the toothpick and start at one of the bottom corners of your nail. Now swirl the colors together by moving the toothpick in an "S" shape over and over again! While it looks super easy, properly using the toothpick to have the design come out as desired can be a little tricky. Don't be afraid to start over!
Finally, add the top coat to seal in your eye-catching design.
