Being a mom is a full-time job. Caring for a little human is not only wonderful and rewarding, it's also exhausting and often frustrating.
When moms have new babies, it's not unusual for them to spend a large amount of time adjusting to their new lifestyle and focusing all their attention on the baby — in fact, it's totally normal.
The job of a new mom is just to love their baby, so whenever we see moms going above and beyond their call of duty to put hard work into projects, it's always impressive.
One new mom in California agreed to build a tiny home with a group of family and friends. Even though she had a young baby strapped to her chest, she didn't let that stop her from getting her hands dirty.
In all the photos they took during the building process, baby is right there with mom, hanging out every step along the way.
Construction projects are no walk in the park, especially when they're massive builds.
Most people avoid building things at all, but one mom decided that having a young baby wasn't going to stop her from building a tiny home alongside friends and family at Organic Building in Sebastapol, CA.
Although it wouldn't have been unreasonable for her to dismiss herself from the project in order to relax with her baby, she jumped right in and got to work.
Even with the added weight of carrying a baby, she still put in her fair share of work on this tiny house project.
The group has worked together on other building projects, including caravans and homes built with hand-tools.
However, this is the first tiny house they were all building, so it was definitely a challenge.
Add on the young baby, and this project was definitely difficult — but this mama never showed her stress.
They began building the house on an old trailer frame, then built the flooring directly onto the frame.
Next, they built the framing for the walls and roof.
After they put in the siding and insulation, they moved onto the windows and doors.
Finally, they added the roof to complete the exterior of the tiny home.
Inside, they continued with the raw wood look, adding a funky door, a stunning bench, and a little table beneath the window.
Finally, the tiny home was complete!
Just look how adorable this tiny house is! It's natural and rustic, but still looks polished and clean.
This definitely must have been a cool experience for the baby to have with his mama.
