This Incredible Tiny Beach House Used To Be An Old Cargo Truck

One of my favorite things about staying in tiny homes when I travel is how eclectic the accommodations are.

Unlike hotels, which all pretty much look the same, tiny homes are as diverse as the people renting them — such as this rustic tiny cabin that used to be a dirty old shipping container!

Some of the coolest listings on travel-sharing websites are the tiny houses that just so happen to exist in highly sought-after locations, like this lovingly restored old house truck that offers up fantastic ocean views from a private location in the New Zealand bush.

This incredible converted cargo truck is the perfect place to go completely off-grid, trading in all of the screens that demand so much of our attention for the gentle crash of ocean waves, the sound of wind moving through sea grass, and the crackle of the house truck's built-in wood-burning stove.

Scroll through the images below, but be warned: this amazing tiny house may just make you want to book a flight to New Zealand immediately!

If you only glanced at the front of this clever tiny house conversion, you might mistake it for an overgrown cargo truck or a very old-fashioned RV.

That's because in another life it was a cargo truck!

The wagon part of the truck has been restored and expanded into a tiny house that's just perfect for two people looking for an off-grid getaway.

Where the old truck's tailgate used to be is now a charming wooden door.

The tailgate has been expanded to serve as a makeshift porch.

Around the side of the house truck is an outside bath and shower.

If you've ever dreamed of taking a bubble bath under the stars, this is the place to do it!

The water flows out of a tree-trunk-like shower head into a claw-foot tub below.

And don't worry  there's electricity and hot and cold running water, so you can truly enjoy the experience.

The exterior of this house truck is pretty spectacular, but the interior is really what's going to blow your mind.

A wood fire keeps the beautifully crafted kauri and oak timber interior warm on cooler days.

A bench couch with pillows provides the perfect place to curl up with a good book while lots of windows let in the bright New Zealand sunlight.

The small but well-appointed kitchen features a mini fridge, sink, and two-burner oven.

There are plenty of nooks and cubbies for any snacks you might want to bring along as well.

When you finally tire of exploring the lush original forest and swimming in the warm waters of the nearby bay, a queen-size lofted bed is waiting to comfort you.

With no Wi-Fi or television, this amazing house truck allows you to truly get away from it all.

One previous guest described the tiny house in one word: "Bliss!"
