Chances are, you're like me and you're constantly buying hair ties, bobby pins, and clips to keep unruly hair in place. All of mine either break or get lost over the course of the day, either at the bottom of my bag or in a forgotten place I thought I would be able to retrieve them. After a few months, I'm left wondering where hundred of these hair accessories could have possibly gone!
This usually catches me off guard when I'm getting ready in the morning. So for the mornings when I can't find something to hold my hair in place, I found the perfect solution.
For this fancy updo, you don't need any accessories, just a brush to untangle your hair. Gather your hair as if you were making a ponytail. Without releasing the base with one hand, twist the ponytail all the way to the end with the other. Wrap the twisted ponytail around itself, as if to form a bun, and tuck the flyaway pieces of hair under the "bun."
At this point, it doesn't seem possible that this updo can be held together without a hair tie. But watch very closely how it's tucked under the right part of hair so that it's held together tightly. To secure it further, you can even slip in a pencil through the knot!
