This Incredible Futuristic Home Looks Like A UFO, And It Rotates!

I am a big fan of futuristic looking homes.

Whether I'm checking out tiny houses or regular homes, I love seeing the inside of different unique living spaces. And anything with a futuristic flair? Count me in.

So naturally, when I spotted this home that resembled a UFO, I had to check it out. And when I saw what it looked like inside? I was floored.

This futuristic dome house is currently for sale in upstate New York. The house is set in the middle of 28 acres of forest, creating the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of day-to-day life. And, as if it weren't already unique enough, this house rotates! That's right — the entire thing can rotate via a remote control.

Designed by a French design firm called Domespace, the house is one of 200 different "domespaces" worldwide that are created to be beautiful, practical, and environmentally friendly.

This "modern, eco-friendly, beautifully crafted wooden dome home" designed by Domespace is located next to New York's 8,000-acre nature preserve, Mohank Preserve.

The rotation feature helps keep down energy costs, making the house more eco-friendly. Domespace writes, "All areas can get sunlight at some point during the day thanks to the slope of the openings. It is even more the case with the rotation feature; heat and light are available everywhere."

The frame of the dome house is made from spruce wood beams, because they are extremely solid and weather resistant, and they are reinforced with concrete. The flexibility of the spruce allows for the beautiful curved arches.

Adding to its eco-friendly nature, the house's insulation is made from cork and wood pulp in the walls, and from spruce and bamboo in the floors. The roof utilizes Canadian Red Cedar which is known to have a natural oil to protect from weather.

The house has two levels, three bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a soaring dome ceiling that is forty feet high at the top!

Some models of domespaces rotate automatically throughout the day, but this New York home operates from a handy remote control making it easy to have a change of scenery whenever you want!

Upstairs in the dome, there is a guest room, upper-level library, and an office. The spiral staircase is custom-built and also made from the same durable spruce.

Solar energy not only takes care of the rotation of the house, but also contributes to the house's heating system, electricity, and water use.

The genius designers at Domespace say that the shape of the house evokes "user-friendliness and solidarity. The yurts, the igloos, the wigwams, and the huts, are all evidence of thousands of years of integration into our environment." The designers aim to find that same environmental integration with their dome houses.

This amazing UFO shaped house is currently on the market for $950,000. The price tag may be high, but the amenities are amazing in this futuristic eco-friendly home!
