Everyone likes new things straight out of the box.
It’s why we love new car smell, feel spiffy when we get a fresh haircut, and enjoy the speed of a new computer.
But what happens to that newfound adoration after something gets a little old? Sometimes, just like a fine wine, things get better with age, like worn-in shoes or a perfect butt-groove in a couch, making it the most coveted spot in all your house.
But what happens when that aforementioned couch is comfy but looks sloppy? You may want to buy a new one, or just deal with your feelings of dissatisfaction towards your formerly fabulous but now frumpy living room adornment.
What if I told you instead of spending a grand on a new sofa (or being dismayed) you could use a simple hack by Instructables user solobo to bring it back to its former glory?
You totally can. And the best part? It will only cost you a dollar!
You will need some very basic sewing skills in order to do this. If you don’t have any, find someone who does, because this trick is totally worth it!

If your couch is starting to sag like this, don’t fret! There is a really easy fix.

First, unzip a cushion.

Then, take out all the stuffing.

Thread a needle and leave yourself a foot or two of thread to work with.

Once the needle is ready, sew the cushion together with buttons.

She used four buttons to pinch her cushion together in two places. Depending on the size of your cushion and how firm you want it, you might use more (if it's bigger) or less (if it's smaller).

Put the stuffing back in the pillow.

Look how fluffy it looks!

She put a fixed cushion next to an old one for comparison and the result is stunning.

It’s like the couch is brand new and she did it all with just some thread, needles, and a few buttons.
