Girl Creates A Beautiful Geometric Wall Design Using Blue Tape And Paint

There are often times when I find ideas on the internet that make me want to redesign my room, or get to work on a fun DIY project.

This is definitely one of those times.

With a fun and easy tutorial such as this one, I would love to make something as entrancing as this wall art.

Elsa Rhae is makeup artist, face painter, video editor, and an all-around talented artist. In this clip below, she shows her views are a simple technique in painting a geometric design onto a wall.

She starts off by sketching the design on paper. She wanted the boxes to seem fan-like, as they spiraled into other boxes, creating a very hypnotizing, yet unique, design. After sketching, she took to her bedroom wall and stuck blue tape directly on it. She used blue tape for her lines, and one piece at a time, created a beautifully intricate wall design.

Rhae then went over her taped lines with a spoon to push the edges of the tape down, leaving no room for bubbles. She then started to fill the outer parts of the fans created with tape with white paint. Then, taking dark gray paint, blended that into the white and created a gradient effect.

Once Rhae took the tape off, my mind was absolutely blown. It’s amazing how many possibilities there are when it comes to redecorating.
