She Stuffs Acorns Into A Glass Vase And Creates A Beautiful Centerpiece For Her Kitchen Table

As Thanksgiving approaches, I tend to get a bit reflective, thinking of the things I'm grateful for. Family, friends, and health are just a few things on the top of my list.

There is so much to be thankful for, and there is something about writing it down and looking at it every day that makes it that much more real.

When I began to count my blessings, I realized it would be such a great idea to create a unique centerpiece, like a Thankful Tree, where you can write what you're thankful for each day.

While I can start by writing a few of my own, it can continue to be filled throughout the season and be transformed into a centerpiece for the Thanksgiving table, where all the guests are encouraged to decorate the tree before the holiday meal.

When guests arrive, provide them with a piece of chalk to write what they are thankful for. Let them get creative when expressing their special messages of thanks.

This DIY gratitude tree is a fun, interactive arrangement that isn't just for adults: It can also teach kids the meaning of Thanksgiving, too.

The project doesn't take long, is pretty simple to assemble, and looks so incredible when it's finished.

1. Gather your materials.

You'll want it to resemble a tree, so make sure the branches stick out. When you're happy with the look of it, set aside.

3. Stuff the vase with the branches.

4. Paint the wood craft rounds with chalkboard paint. Let dry.

5. Loop twine around the wood rounds and knot.

6. Grab liquid chalk markers and write what you're thankful for.

7. Hang on the tree and show off what you're grateful for.

Invite friends and family to share what they are most thankful for, too, so they can add to the tree throughout the season. This can be turned into a Thanksgiving decoration or a beautiful table centerpiece.

Isn't this so pretty?

If you want to add a extra special touch, you can wrap Christmas lights around the branches.
