This Tiny ‘Woodland’ House In Nashville Is A Perfectly Cozy Retreat

I always dream about living in an off-the-grid, self-sufficient tiny home, like this gorgeous getaway atop a eucalyptus tree.

Upon second thought, though, I always remember that I could never live without access to other people and culture for a long period of time.

There are, fortunately, many tiny homes out there that combine both the feeling of peaceful solitude with a great sense of community.

Below, we take a look at the charming, cozy little home that Rebecca and her husband, Jonathan, built in southern Nashville.

It is simply decorated, but very nicely furnished inside, and comes complete with denim-insulated walls, LED lighting, a full kitchen, and a bathroom.

You can read the story of the tiny home here on her blog, and see some more beautiful photos on their Airbnb profile.

The couple purchased a customized kit from Summerwood homes, and built on the framework of the house by adding in a unique interior, furniture, and wonderfully cozy accent pieces.

The backyard is a shared space, so guests will frequently see the family there.

They also own a small orchard and two chickens, and have installed an electric water heater, tin roofing, denim-insulated walls, and LED lighting throughout the home.

The newly constructed home is in south Nashville, in the middle of the city’s Design District.

That’s why it’s a perfect balance of both worlds: it is close to nature, but is also minutes away from all the best that the city has to offer.

According to the family’s blog, the tiny home was 16 years in the making.

Rebecca was 11 when she first dreamed of building the perfect guesthouse, and the idea has since blossomed and come into fruition.
