Fossickers Hut is a tiny vacation home tucked into the trees of New Zealand.
The little home is reminiscent of a time when the surrounding town was bustling with hopeful gold prospectors.

The one-bedroom home was designed and currently owned by Craig and Jodie.
The artistic owners paid very close attention to detail while making sure to stay true to the pioneer-style.

Beautiful handcrafted details fill the entire space.
From ceramic light shades to handmade plates and bowls, the owners took great care in creating Fossickers Hut.

This little home can accommodate up to four people.
On the first floor is a queen-sized bed.

The loft features an adventurous sleeping spot for the kids!

Inside the hut is a pot belly stove and an old coal range in the small kitchen.
Anyone that visits should certainly take the time to make a pot of tea and head outside to enjoy the surroundings.

To some, this vacation spot may be overly simple, but the lack of cell service and noise pollution is a dream come true for those that stay in the little home.

The house is perched on a hill right above the beautiful waters of the Wakamarina River.
After a day of snorkeling or hiking, it must be nice to come back to this warm and cozy little home.

The home does come with some modern amenities, of course. After all, it is a vacation home!
Running water is heated by gas and there is a composting toilet as well.

One of the most relaxing and incredible aspects of the home is the outdoor wood fire-heated bathtub.
The location ensures privacy and a breathtaking view.
