If someone offered you the key to your very own tiny house, would you take it? Or do you prefer a more spacious home?
I used to be unsure of my answer, but after seeing this beautiful little home, my mind is made up: I would take a tiny house in a heartbeat! Though it would be hard at first to downsize all my belongings, a gorgeous home like this would make it all worthwhile.
And, judging by the exploding popularity of the Tiny House Movement, I'm clearly not alone in that thought.
But this little house — dubbed the Tiny Tack House — in Snohomish, WA, is one of the prettiest I've ever seen. Its bright pine, warm nooks, and lush gardens all make for a cozy, wooded oasis.
If you had your pick, which tiny home would you love to live in?

Over the years, Chris and Malissa Tack have gone from country folk, to city folk, and back again.

With the creation of their 140-sq-ft tiny home, this happy couple has found their happiness.

"We love it here, the weather is amazing, the trees are huge and the mountains are in my backyard," says Malissa on her website.

With just some basic shop skills learned in high school, this couple designed and built their entire 7'x20' trailer with their own hands.

It took about 800 hours of work, and roughly $15,000–20,000, but their dream home is now complete.

When asked if anyone thought they were crazy for going through with the build, Malissa said, "Yes! Just about everyone we know. But now, everyone loves the idea of the house!"

"I could not be any happier, but that could also be because I’m married to the most amazing man I have ever met," Malissa also says.

Most of their supplies for their home (internally measuring 6'8.5"x19'10.5") came from Home Depot.

But their shower, a wine barrel, came from a local lumber company.

In addition to being adorable, their tiny house is very environmentally friendly. They use a compost toilet and solar panels, and they carefully manage their water runoff.

"I absolutely love this house! It has given Christopher and myself so much in these last three years," says Malissa. But Malissa adds that her happiness does not come from living in a tiny house, having a small fridge, or showering in a wine barrel.

"YOU make your life happy!" she says. "To not focus on the future but live every moment now... To be grateful right now for everything that has come into your life... That's my happiness!"

"We live each day with new possibilities and amazing adventures in our hearts," she says.

"And we hope to be able to inspire others to see the light in their life, and find true happiness... It’s worth finding!"
