1962 Vintage Camper In Austin Is Transformed Into A Vibrant, Cozy Motel

In recent years, many people have started to flock to sites online to list, find, and rent lodging.

Most people make use of these kind of sites (like Airbnb) especially when they are traveling, and are looking for couples, families, or individuals who are open and happy to host them.

Many of these lodgings do happen to be spectacular and well-equipped tiny homes, like this tiny pyramid cabin in Argentina, and are surrounded by awe-inspiring scenery and vibrant neighborhoods.

Chris, an artist and designer, is a longtime Airbnb host, and encourages visitors to check out his tiny 1962 vintage camper in Austin, TX.

He has transformed it into a glorious little motel that can accommodate up to two guests. Located in a beautifully wooded environment, the camper is quite close to downtown Austin and several other vibrantly cultural sites.

"I picked this spot specifically because of the wonderful wooded neighborhood and quiet streets," Chris wrote on his Airbnb page. Just blocks away from the camper, you'll find plenty of food trucks, cafés, vintage clothing stores, and local farmers markets.

He also recommends that guests travel by bike through the beautiful neighborhood and to explore Austin, but the camper is also close to major highways and roads, for those traveling by car.

Inspiring, heartwarming messages are framed and placed all over the walls inside the camper, encouraging guests to be free-spirited, happy, and adventurous.

There is a fully-equipped kitchen, with lots of hanging pots, pans, and kitchen tools.

It runs on a propane stove and sources water from an outdoor garden hose that uses a collection bucket. Besides supplying the home with water, the hose is also used to water the surrounding plants!

There is also a closet for guests to store all their clothes, as well as little "buckets" for toiletries and a first-aid kit.

The shower is located outside — "The best part is showering under the stars at night," said Chris — and comes with a curtain for privacy and a towel holder. There is a RV toilet in place, until the composting toilet comes in. It's a little smaller than most toilets, but is perfectly safe, and even uses biodegradable toilet paper!

The plot of land right outside the camper is perfect for a simple cookout, outdoor dinner, or picnic.
