Age is just a number for Dorothy Custer. When this spunky lady turned 100, she made a special appearance on "The Tonight Show" with Jay Leno, and while Leno is typically the one throwing out funny one liners, Custer had him in stitches less than a minute into the interview!
During the interview, Leno asks Custer about her recent visit to Universal Studios, and her story-telling skills have the timing of a well-seasoned comedian.
"The wind was terrible," she said. "I had a skirt on, and the wind was just blowing it like that. I was hanging onto my hat, and a kid came up to me and said, 'Lady, you better stop hanging onto your hat and pull your dress down, you're showing everything you've got.'"
"And I said 'I don’t care! What they see down there’s a hundred years old. This is a brand new hat!'"
Leno could barely contain himself, cracking up at her humor and quick wit. She went on to talk about the secrets to longevity and the sweet way she met her husband. Finally, at the end of the interview, she pulls out a harmonica and plays "Turkey in the Straw." Go granny!
