This WWII Veteran Is 108 Years Old. His Secret To A Long Life? I Was NOT Expecting That!

Richard Overton was born in 1906. That's six years before the sinking of the Titanic, eight years before the beginning of "The Great War," and a full 35 years before the attack on Pearl Harbor.

Overton lived through it all: the roaring twenties, the Great Depression, WWII, Vietnam, the Civil Rights movement, Desert Storm, 9/11, and everything in between. He's hung out with the president, senators, congressmen, and celebrities from all walks of life.

Can you imagine living to be 109 years old? I would love to just listen to him tell a few stories, whether it be from the war or any other time period, this man certainly has a lot of history to go through. Being America's oldest WWII veteran comes with a lot of tales to tell! A distinguished sharpshooter in the war, this corporal went from Hawaii, to Guam, and finally Iwo Jima.

But now, in his old age, he credits his health and longevity to eating ice cream every night, smoking cigars, and drinking whiskey! This Texas war hero really knows how to live it up!

Though his health advice might not necessarily be exactly what the doctor ordered, we're all very happy that Overton is still alive, and still manages to keep as active as possible!

And please SHARE his story if you love our nation's proud veterans!
