This 12-Year-Old Is Such An Amazing Singer, I Got Chills! And Look Who Else Thinks So!

There are few things I love more than a well-sung National Anthem. No matter how many good renditions I hear, it always fills me with pride and covers me in goosebumps.

Though our history is filled with many timeless, patriotic songs, nothing quite stirs me like our anthem — and no one's ever quite performed it like young Nicholas Connors!

Nicholas, a 12-year-old Boy Scout and sports fan, was terrified of performing before game two for the Houston Rockets. "I was a little freaked out," he said. "I had my mom calm me down, encouraging me."

But when Nicholas was finished performing, the crowd exploded into applause — and one famous figure took to the court to personally congratulate the young singer. Now the moment has gone viral, and people around the nation are applauding Nicholas' huge talent.

Be sure to watch Nicholas' stirring rendition of the Anthem below. The last 15 seconds gave me chills!

Nicholas Connors — just 12 years old and recovering from tonsillitis — brought down the house during his rendition of the National Anthem before game two of the Rockets/Mavericks first-round playoff series.

But after his stunning performance, he never expected to be personally congratulated by this famous athlete. When he realized who was tapping him on the shoulder, he was clearly shocked.

It was J.J. Watt, NFL defensive end for the Houston Texans! J.J. was so impressed by the young singer, he later took to Twitter to search for him.

So after such a special encounter, what's next for Nicholas? "I want to be me," he said. "And sing my heart out for anyone who wants to hear it." We wish this talented kid all the best! He's sure to go far.
