15 Wacky Street Meat Foods From Around The World… How Can People Even Keep #13 Down?

The world is a pretty big place with several unique cultures and beautiful traditions. But these foods really just seem bizarre to me!

I've always wondered if the food I pick up from street vendors is actually what they say it is — the grayish, chewy mass of "food" placed on a Kebab. But I've never worried about it being any of the food choices they have below. While I'm not a great cook, I do know my away around a grill and my kitchen. I've been learning about the importance of olive oil, but these foods will certainly need a lot more than that in order to taste good!

While the world has had some bizarre practices since medieval times, I can't ever imagine walking up to someone and actually asking for #13. Seriously, how can people actually like any of these foods? I guess it just goes to show you what's "normal" for one person is absolutely insane to someone else. Maybe the people who eat #9 think eating a hamburger is repulsive? To each his own!

While I've actually seen #6 for sale in my local organic grocery store, I would never imagine to see it for sale on a street corner. Even though some of these foods might seem gross at first, it's inspiring me to get onto Travelocity or Orbitz and book a one-way plane ticket to travel this huge globe of ours. While I hate airplane travel, I definitely love to explore new places and experience new things.

With all these foods I know I'd definitely have some crazy stories to tell. But the real question is, while playing the jet-setter, should I book a fancy hotel like Hilton or the Marriott, or should I backpack from country to country, hostel to hostel?
