If you've ever gotten water in your ear, you know how uncomfortable it can be. Not only does it affect your hearing, it can also cause minor pain and discomfort.
One woman in Vietnam was so scared of getting water in her ears that she didn't clean them — for 15 years. Eventually, the wax buildup began to affect her hearing.

When she went to a doctor at a clinic in Phu Tho Province to tell him about her hearing loss, he took a look in her ears. The amount of wax he saw was astounding.
The doctor, Tuan, immediately got to work removing the wax from the woman's ear. He used a hook-like device to scrape out as much wax as possible. With a tiny camera, the doctor filmed the process.
In the video, you can hear the woman making noises — apparently the procedure hurt a bit. Luckily, the entire process only took four minutes. By the end of the few minutes, the doctor managed to completely remove the buildup of wax and dirt.
There's no doubt this woman will be able to hear much better now that her ear canal isn't totally clogged. She might be surprised by how loud things are now!
