When we learn about animal testing and the poor creatures being used for medical research or cosmetic allergies, we assume it's animals like rabbits, primates, or mice. Unfortunately, the industries don't stop there with their cruel practices.
Adorable beagles are constantly put through harmful experiments for makeup companies across the world. While every animal deserves a chance at happiness, it's especially heartbreaking to think someone can look at these sweet faces and still cause them so much pain.
Luckily, India recently denied one such company from continuing their horrible trials and 156 precious pups, all ranging in ages from 2 to 5, were finally free to find their happy place. The dogs were released from their cages in Bangalore and were immediately welcomed by a local organization called Compassion Unlimited Plus Action (CUPA).
Volunteers arranged for the cuties to make their way to CUPA's "Hotel for Dogs" where they hope to find forever homes to love each and every one of them. Of course, after so many years shoved into the shadows and never even feeling the sun on their fur made the transition a little difficult for the poor things.
The video below shows how they're enjoying their new sense of freedom, but one of the rescues was too skittish to walk out of her open cage. When they tried to tip it over and coax her out, she remained inside, fearing more agony was in store. I'm sure her buddies will convince her to join them soon, but it's clear their wounds are far more than physical.
