As a parent, it is hard not to worry about the world our children are living in. You can't turn on the news today without hearing about some horrible act of hate. That's why it is truly beautiful to witness an unselfish act of love…or better yet, 20 unselfish acts!
When I saw what this woman did to celebrate her 20th birthday, I was brought to tears. Rather than throwing a party and receiving gifts, she chooses to do 20 random acts of kindness for others, reminding us that there is still good in the world.
Like this man who invited a homeless man to have a meal with him, there are some people who are willing to do something so unselfish just to know that they have made someone else's day a little brighter.
Kindness is contagious and if we all committed just one simple act of kindness towards each other every day, imagine the world we could create for our children. We should all aspire to live life in that way!
