Claudette Cook wanted children with her husband of nine years for a long time. Being middle-aged, however, it would be a struggle to have babies of their own.
But the Indiana couple, who met in church, got even more than they bargained for when doctors told them they were pregnant with not one, but two bundles of joy.
It's overwhelming news that's shocked tons of couples before, including the Oklahoma pair who learned they were expecting rare monoamniotic twins. And as expected, Cook and her husband were elated with the soon-to-be new twin additions to their family.
"It was so awesome. I was like, 'Oh my goodness there’s two in here!'" Cook told Indiana's WFIE-TV. "We kept looking at the ultrasound and my husband kept taking pictures to where his battery was starting to go low."
Cook, who was able to conceive with the help of an IVF specialist and donor eggs, credits the timing of their beautiful gift to God.
"The thing of it is, you have to wait on God. We think we want something ASAP and God is like, 'You know what, you’re not ready for that,'" she said.
