Sandy Hill is probably one of the most inspiring people you could ever hope to meet up with. While I get busy checking my email or watching television, Hill is planning her next great epic adventure.
A true sportswoman and a self-proclaimed "intrepid traveler," she has visited over 100 countries around the globe, mostly all to pursue her passion for mountain sports. The aptly named Hill is one of those people who climbs things "because they're there."
She's climbed eight of the nine seven summits (the highest mountains on each continent), toured the Arctic sea by kayak, and even retraced the incredible journey of the Lewis and Clark expedition in wild Montana! And, she's 60 years old.
When I was in my mid 20's I couldn't do half of the things that this amazing woman pulls off. A long time health fanatic and early supporter of the "CrossFit" world, Hill has managed to keep her body in incredible shape while inspiring thousands of people who read her story.
While she's passionate about what she does, she still finds herself encountering self doubt and bad emotions from time to time. However, in order to combat any of that self doubt, even if its in the middle of an intense workout, she finds a moment to calm herself down and tell herself four little words: "the feeling is fleeting." Self doubt is something that only you can feed, and if you choose to let it starve away you'll quickly find that it nearly instantly disintegrates as fast as it appeared.
Check out some of Hill's amazing photos below. This amazing woman is sure to inspire you to take a deep breath and destroy any bad feelings and doubts you might ever have!
