Vegas Shooting Survivors Think They’re Filming A PSA When Reporter Says To Look At Man On Stairs

The tragedy at the Route 91 Harvest Concert in Las Vegas became the deadliest mass shooting in modern US history. 58 lives were claimed, devastating the city of Las Vegas, the country music community and the country as a whole. Those affected are still haunted by the events.

Seven months after the Route 91 concert, a very special group of individuals were invited to the FOX5 studios in Las Vegas. Survivors of the shooting, along with heroic police officers, EMTs, mental health providers and doctors, thought they were gathering there to film a PSA about their community and their love of country music.

"The country community is just so loving and giving," one guest said. "There's nothing like a great country song to help take us away from that difficult moment we're in."

But what they didn't know was the FOX5 Surprise Squad had teamed up with the Academy of Country Music to give these deserving folks an incredible surprise they never saw coming.

As you're about to see, things took a particularly emotional turn at the 5:34 mark, when Vegas survivor Sherri Withrow revealed what the surprise meant to her and her family.
