Original Cast Of Aladdin Reunites To Perform “A Whole New World” Duet

You may not recognize Brad Kane and Lea Salonga by name or face, but I guarantee you've heard their magnificent voices a million times. The singers voice two of Disney's most recognizable characters: Aladdin and Jasmine.

The 1992 film Aladdin is being re-released as a Diamond Edition after being in the sacred "Disney Vault" for decades. For the first time since 1993,  Brad and Lea performed the iconic duet "A Whole New World" on Good Morning America.

The two haven't performed together since the 65th Academy Awards, where the hit won Best Original Song. The song is the only Disney single to top the Billboard 100 and even snagged a Grammy for Song of the Year.

“It’s such a special song, and it’s such an attractive experience, you want to keep it special," Brad said. The sentiment still holds over two decades later. (If you're a huge Aladdin fan, you'll also want to watch this clip of the Broadway cast performing in an airport.)

Brad and Lea perform with Oscar-winning Composer Alan Menken on the piano. Their voices haven't changed one bit in all of these years!

"A Whole New World" isn't just about nostalgia — every year, new children (and adults, who are we kidding?) will hear it and connect with it all over again.

See the amazing reunion below and please SHARE if you remember this song like it was yesterday!
