Ravens are supposedly really smart birds, but this guy takes the cake. He seems to understand that these humans are the only ones who can help him, and even though he gets annoyed at the pain, he doesn’t fly away. He waits for the entire process to be done.
These kinds of stories make me believe that animals really understand us. Maybe their brains aren't as big, but they understand what humans are capable of doing, and when they can possibly help.
