He’s A Huge NFL Star… What He Does Off The Field Will Melt Your Heart!

Aaron Rodgers is known as one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL, but he doesn't only shine on the football field.

The Green Bay Packers star led his team to a Super Bowl victory in 2011 and became the ninth player in NFL history to win multiple MVP awards. But when the 31-year-old isn't in his football gear, Rodgers devotes much of his time to helping children. Since 2012, Rodgers has been documenting the charity work he’s been doing along with business partner David Gruber on his YouTube account.

In his latest video, Rodgers teamed up with Camp Hometown Heroes, a military charity organization that helps children of fallen soldiers. The NFL star spent the day boating with four of those children, one of whom who was completely starstruck and took selfies with Rodgers.

According to statistics, close to 5,000 children have lost a parent in the U.S. military following the September 11 attacks. Since 2013, Camp Hometown Heroes has been organizing a weeklong camp for these children to help them cope by bonding with others who have been through a similar experience.

In his first YouTube video, Rodgers explained that, during his time in junior college in Chico, CA, he spent time with an 11-year-old boy who was battling leukemia, and the experience motivated him to make a difference. Since then, he’s surprised more than a dozen children.

“I hope people can just see that there are people out there who need our help,” he says in the clip.
