Strip clubs are a pretty divisive topic of conversation.
On one side, you have those who claim that they provide old-fashioned adult fun, and as long as everyone's there of their own accord, it's not hurting anyone. On the other side, you may have people who argue against the morality, or say that strip clubs are sexist, misogynistic, and well, sad.
If you're in the latter category, you'll likely find the sight of an abandoned strip club especially sad.
Darryl W. Moran is one of our favorite photographers, and he specializes in exploring abandoned places. He recently visited a run-down, decrepit, and completely abandoned strip club/adult video store called Hi-Way Playground to take photos.
Maybe you have some personal memories of visiting this place and you're feeling brave enough to tell. If so, let us know. And please SHARE if you find this fascinating!
The Hi-Way Playground was located just three miles west of I-70 near Yukon, PA. Though it's now closed, several reviews of the establishment remain online.

Let's just say the reviews are far from glowing. One strip club review blog called "Peter Tips" says, "The one nice thing is that they have plenty of parking."

Though it only closed within the past two years, photos of the current interior suggest that it's rapidly deteriorating.

Mundane details still adorn the walls, like this forwarding address of a dancer named Star and a list of chores that the club required of the girls.

He also found many discarded pairs of platforms and, for lack of a better term, "stripper heels."

Many discarded heels.

Like, lots of them. As if the performers never had an opportunity to come back and get them.

And, um, one of these things — whatever it is. I think its purpose is best left to the imagination.

The photographs give a behind-the-scenes glimpse into this world. For the people who worked there, it was just a business with rules like any other place of employment.

This one just happened to have coin-operated televisions that played adult movies.

The offices look like they've been ransacked, as if someone was trying to find something.

Even the vending machines have been ravaged and emptied.

According to listings of this closed down business, it also used to have a VIP room, snack buffet, and juice bar.

Another website called "The Ultimate Strip Club" list rated Hi-Way Playground with two out of five stars.

The user reviews on that same website express dismay of there usually only being one or two dancers working on a shift.

It's apparent that the Hi-Way Playground wasn't meant to stay in business.

But what's the deal with all the shoes?

Please SHARE these eerie photos.
