It’s been over 20 years since The Addams Family appeared on the big screen, but it’s hard to forget the ghoulish, bizarre, and hilarious cast.
Anjelica Huston slayed with her impersonation of the unapologetic Morticia Addams, while Raul Julia’s portrayal of her loving husband Gomez was just as precise.
The rest of the cast, which included Christina Ricci as Wednesday and Christopher Lloyd as Uncle Fester, also added to the wickedness.
Perhaps it was the lack of boundaries and unreal circumstances that made the film adaptation of Charles Addams’ classic cartoons a box office success.
According to Box Office Mojo, the first movie (1991) grossed about 113.5 million domestically. Although the 1993 sequel didn’t perform as well — it brought in roughly 50 million at the box office — it’s still become a Halloween classic.

1. Morticia Addams
Anjelica Huston
The Oscar winner has had countless roles since her time as the matriarch on the Addams Family. She won a Golden Globe for her performance in 2004's Iron Jawed Angels and appeared on two seasons of NBC's Smash from 2012–2013.
2. Gomez Addams
Raul Julia
The Puerto Rican actor, who starred as the patriarch, died after suffering a stroke in 1994. He was 54.

3. Wednesday Addams
Christina Ricci
The former child star has had a fruitful career since her time on The Addams Family. She starred in Casper in 1995, as well as Sleepy Hollow alongside Johnny Depp in 1999 and Monster with Charlize Theron in 2003. More recently, in 2015, she also starred in Lifetime's limited series The Lizzie Borden Chronicles. She also tied the knot in 2013 and welcomed a son with her husband a year later.
4. Pugsley Addams
Jimmy Workman
Unlike his on-screen sister, Workman's film career didn't last too long, as he stopped appearing in movies shortly after Addams Family. He recently appeared in the news, however, for a custody battle over his younger sister, Modern Family's Ariel Winter.

5. Debbie Jellinsky
Joan Cusack
John Cusack's older sister appeared in The Addams Family sequel in 1993. Her career continued to flourish with several movie and television roles. She now appears as Sheila Jackson on Showtime's popular series Shameless.
6. Uncle Fester
Christopher Lloyd
He's another actor from the film who snagged tons of roles after Addams Family. He's known for his role as Dr. Emmett Brown in Back to the Future and he also has more films on the way.

7. Grandmama Addams
Carol Kane
It's hard to tell with the costume, but Granny was played by Carol Kane, who has starred in a long list of movies prior to and following The Addams Family. She recently appeared in Fox's Gotham.
8. Lurch
Carel Struycken
The 7-foot-tall Dutch actor appeared in a few films after the comedy, including 1997's Men in Black and the TV film The Fallen Ones in 2005. He also spends his time photographing spherical panoramas.

9. Joel Glicker
David Krumholtz
Since his time on The Addams Family, the New Yorker made a name for himself playing Charlie Eppes on CBS' Numb3rs. He's appeared in several films, including 2007's Superbad and 2014's The Judge. He also married fellow actress Vanessa Britting in 2010.
10. Amanda Buckman
Mercedes McNab
After the film, the blonde appeared on the television shows Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel. She later became known for her role in the slasher film Hatchet. The actress also got married in 2012 and has one daughter named Vaunne Sydney.
