Teen Gets Ready For Lacrosse Game, Then Hears An Unexpected Voice Call His Name

Colonel Brian Lindsey, a member of the United States Air Force, is no stranger to long, overseas deployments.

He has been with the Air Force for 25 years, and with that comes long periods of time where he sadly can't be near his friends and family. It is the nature of the kind of sacrifice our men and women in uniform have to make.

Thankfully, with each deployment, the Colonel has always come back home to his loved ones.

This time, after a six-month deployment to Kuwait, he decided to make his return even more special than it already was.

He returned earlier than his expected date, so he decided to surprise his kids.

Instead of surprising all three of his kids together, he had to split them up, as his youngest son was attending his band's concert, while his oldest had his first lacrosse game of the season.

However, that didn't stop him from carrying out his goal on Thursday night, March 9.

First, he arrived at his youngest son's concert, where he had a heartwarming reunion with him and his sister.

Then, right before his oldest son's lacrosse game was getting set to start, Colonel Lindsey ran onto the field and called his name.

His son took one look at him before rushing over and meeting him in a huge hug.

"I've never really had that chance before," Lindsey said, referring to this being his first surprise return. "It was awesome."
