Air Force Mom Walks Into School Auditorium During Assembly, But Her Two Young Sons Have No Clue

Imagine not being able to see your kids for six months. It's a reality many people face, especially our men and women in the armed forces. Some get deployed far overseas, unable to see their families in person for months or years. That is why their heartfelt reunions touch us so much. Air Force Master Sergeant Kathleen finally got her chance for a reunion when she surprised her sons at school.

Kathleen has been deployed overseas in Korea for half a year, and during that half year, she spoke to her sons on the phone every day, as well as contacting them through Skype.

Still, it wasn't the same as being here with them and holding them in her arms.

"It's hard being away, especially as a mom, so I've been honestly waiting for it since the day I left, for this moment to actually come home to be with them. It's great doing what we do over there, but this is my real life. I'm glad to be home with them," Kathleen said.

The sergeant had already reunited with her oldest son, 14-year-old Isaiah, early on Thursday, February 9, in Severn, Maryland.

Now it was time to see her youngest boys, 9-year-old Levi and 6-year-old Michael.

Her initial surprise was to greet them in their classroom at Quarterfield Elementary, but after speaking to the school's principal, a different arrangement was set.

Check out their beautiful reunion, and please SHARE this video if you love when our soldiers come home!
