Whenever I travel by plane, I always try to pack everything in a carry-on bag in fear of the airline losing my luggage. You can never be too safe, right?
However, when I do have to check a bag, I honestly don't think twice about what happens to my precious belongings after I place my luggage on the conveyor belt. That could be because I've seen this video about thieves at the airport and know not to put anything extremely valuable in an unlocked suitcase. However, it could also be because I trust that when I pay $50 to check a bag, the airport will keep it safe.
However, after seeing the following video, now I'm not so sure. While I know that no one at the airport is handling my suitcase with extreme care, because that would take forever, I was still pretty shocked to see how luggage is actually moved from the airport check-in line to the plane.
Although we're unsure what airport this baggage system pusher is located in, it's pretty crazy to see the excessive force used to catapult the bags from one area to another. This is just one more reason to never to pack anything extremely valuable, but you can always just follow this crazy man's lead and try to fit everything you own on your person when you travel.
