Students Find Strange Paper Hearts On Lockers, Then Discover Handwritten Messages On Each One

For the students of Albertville Middle School in Alabama, Friday morning was a time of mystery and smiles.

As the children entered the halls, they spotted colorful paper hearts stuck to each locker. As they got closer, they realized that the hearts all had handwritten messages gracing the front. None of the students expected the paper hearts to randomly appear, except for one group of boys and girls.

The school's student-led bible study group led the initiative and spent hours cutting out paper hearts and writing bible verses, inspirational quotes, and other uplifting messages for their peers to enjoy the next day.

In the video below, posted on March 20, 2017, Sophie-Elle Garrett explains, "One girl, she had actually been bullied lately and she came up to me and she said, 'My heart said you're important and that's the biggest thing I've been trying to get God to tell me lately.'"

The students believe it's important to remember that there's no way for them to predict what other people are going through, so any random act of kindness or support is especially helpful and appreciated.
