With the help of a tailor, Cook decided to design her own bathing suit in 2013 to hide her pregnancy scars. That’s when Allusions by A. Lekay came to fruition.
It's no secret that many women have faced ridicule for their bodies, including one mother of five who was mocked at the beach. While women should feel confident in their skin no matter what — like the lady who refuses to wear a cover up — it's always important to wear something that makes you feel your best. The Florida resident now has a whole line of high-waist bathing suits helping women cover up any imperfections they feel insecure about — and that’s not exclusive to just the post-baby body. These bathing suits are also suitable for women with surgery scars or ones who just want to cover their lower tummy.
The line, described as a "luxury, lifestyle swimwear brand that empowers women to live life fierce and fearlessly," is gaining some serious popularity with rapper Nicki Minaj wearing a patriotic one in Cosmopolitan in 2015.

Altrichia Cook had the perfect solution to covering her pregnancy scars on the beach: her own bathing suit line, Allusions by A.Lekay!
"It was just an idea and a way for me to mask abdominal imperfections obtained from child bearing," she wrote on Instagram.
Her line includes some colorful high-waist bathing suits perfect for the post-baby body and anyone trying to feel their best.
Little did she know the line would become popular, with Nicki Minaj even wearing a piece in Cosmopolitan!
