Spring is in the air, which means that Easter is just around the corner. It's a great time of year filled with egg hunts, pretty dresses, and of course, pictures of our kids crying on the Easter Bunny's lap. But mostly, its that time of year when we get to eat the marshmallow Peeps from our kids' Easter baskets!
Who can resist those pastel-colored puffs? I know I can't, so I was very excited to see them take center stage on this beautiful cake. I love to bake, so I am always on the lookout for creative confections that I can whip up for my next party, like these rainbow-colored St. Patrick's Day cupcakes, or this Valentine's Day heart-shaped cake. So when I came across this spectacular marbled Easter cake, I just knew that this would be the one my guests would be enjoying this year!
In this great video tutorial by "Cookies Cupcakes and Cardio," Jenn walks us through how to turn this tantalizingly tasty batter into an Easter masterpiece. Using only buttercream, cake batter, marshmallow Peeps, and M&Ms, this cake is so simple, that even those of us who could not be described as Picassos of Pastry can still create a masterpiece!
Can you imagine this cake as the centerpiece of your Easter dessert table? The kids will go crazy, even before they get a bite of all that sugar!
